A self-described marketing geek, Jacque Riley founded Riley Communications, LLC in the summer of 2006. She quickly developed a loyal clientele ranging from “mom and pop” shops to established corporations, and the company was honored as Start-Up of the Year by the S.C. Small Business Development Center.
Since then, the growing firm has received numerous peer-reviewed state and regional awards from the Public Relations Society of America and the International Association of Business Communicators, including the two top-scoring entries of the 2009 IABC Palmetto Awards. Riley contributes her time to developing marketing articles for Greater Columbia Business Monthly, Greater Pee Dee/Grand Strand Business Monthly and S.C. Business in addition to speaking about PR, social media and marketing trends for chambers of commerce, civic organizations and college students.
Before founding Riley Communications, Riley served as Director of Communications & Marketing for the S.C. Association of Realtors,® where she founded a magazine, supervised an extensive website redesign and managed an identity makeover for nearly 20,000 members. Riley also brings legal and non-profit experience from her tenure working with newsletters, publications and media for the South Carolina Bar.
As a child, Riley lived all over the country with her military family before settling in Gainesville, Fla. for high school. She attended the University of South Carolina on a full McNair scholarship, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in public relations, graduating summa cum laude. On the weekends, you’re likely to find Jacque traveling, rocking out to Bob Dylan or curled up with a book.
